The next T@sk Training Session is about to start!  

The 4 days training program will start with a common reflection on the e-learning pedagogy, its advantages and the necessary pre-conditions for a successful adoption of digital teaching and learning activities. Through a learning by doing approach, participants will be guided to the use of  Learning Management Systems,  and to the experimentation of synchronic and non-synchronic communication tools between Lecturers and  students and among the academic staff. On Friday, 19th, participants and trainers will attend the 2nd  International ConferenceAchievements and Challenges of Social Work Profession in Albania”. A lively academic and professional debate is developing this week in Tirana on the occasion of the first training session of the T@sk project.

Academic Staff and practitioners of Social Services discuss the theoretical foundations of Social Work, the epistemological background of Social Work intervention and the structuring of the Albanian Social Services.

21 – 25 May 2018 First Training Session in Tirana

The netxt T@sk meeting will be held in Tirana: 21– 25 May 2018.  

Topic: Theoretical and empirical foundations of Social Work

Participants: Albanian Academic Staff, EU University members; Professional  Order of Social Work Tuscany Region.

Invited participants: Associated Partners of T@sk Project and all the Social Workers who would like to attend (please contact us!)

The meeting will be the first of the three training sessions in Albania. The second session will be hosted by the University of Shkodër (15-19 October 2018); the third session  will be held in Elbasan (10-14 December 2018). The overall aim of the training session will be to stimulate a scientific debate among European Union countries’ partners and Albanian academics on the principles, techniques, best practices and ethical questions related to Social Work teaching and Social Services delivery, to transfer the updated  skills to the students in Social Work, and to encourage the Albanian Social Workers to share the updating  according to the needs of Social Services’ users.

How does it work?

The training session in Tirana will last 5 days. During the morning, participants will discuss the scheduled topics; in the afternoon, the activities of the group will take place in the curricular classes of Social Work (Bachelor and Masters).

Which methodology will be adopted?

During the  morning,  the discussion on the scientific issues will be developed through frontal didactics and little groups work.

In the afternoon, the EU partners  will provide assistance and training to the Albanian lecturers on the basis of the cooperative learning and shadowing approach. Students will be actively involved through their participation in focus groups, exercises and evaluation of the teaching material.

Who can participate?

Morning sessions: Academic staff of the Albanian Universities, members of the Associated partners, interested stakeholders (upon request)

Afternoon session: Students, EU and Albanian lecturers.

Who will benefit from the training?

The Academic Staff of the Albanian Universities will be stimulated to a discuss on both theoretical and empirical aspects of the principles of Social Work.

The Students of Social Work will experiment new didactic techniques and updated material. Students will advise the trainers on their  specific learning needs

By participating in the morning sessions, the Associated Partners (NGOs and institutional partners) will be involved in the theoretical debate and will present the needs of the citizens in their existing social environment.

First Preparation Meeting

Tirana, Shkodër and Elbasan, 5-9 March 2018

In March 2018, T@sk organized its first Preparation Meeting. The meeting was divided into three sessions: a general session in Tirana (5-7 March) and two parallel sessions in Shkodër and Elbasan (8-9 March).

Topic: Assessment of the University curricula in Social Work of the three Albanian Universities;  estimation of the digital infrastructure needs of the University seats in Tirana, Shkodër and Elbasan; evaluation of the Social Services delivery in Albania. The activities were carried out through: conferences, workshops and field visits to the Social Services and to T@sk associated partners in the three cities.

T@sk Official Presentation and Kick Off Meeting

Florence 7-10 February 2018

In February all partners of the T@sk project met in Florence for the first time in the evocative location of the Istituto degli Innocenti, founded in 1445 and known in the world as the first secular institution devoted exclusively to child care.

University lecturers, social workers and administrative staff spent three days together to define the organization and discuss the methodology of the T@sk project.

 

Topic: Official project opening with the participation of all T@sk members. Planning of T@sk future activities.

Institutional greetings and presentation of all institutions participating in the project opened the first official collective working-day.

About 60 people including stakeholders from different cities took part in the first session. Among them: students, Social Services representatives, political and civic society representatives.

Q&A: procedural and technical issues followed by museum visit.

T@sk members visit to the Museum of the Istituto degli Innocenti guided by the Museum Director. A unique chance to learn more about how the idea of modern Social Services and Health Care system emerged as far back in history as 1445.
