The University of Elbasan Alexander Xhuvani hosts from today the third training session on the theory and practice of Social Work.
Partners of the Albanian Universities – Tirana, Shkodra, Elbasan – and partners of the European Countries (University of Florence, Complutense University of Madrid, University Institute of Lisbon and the Professional Order od Social Workers of the Tuscany Region) – will debate core issues of the academic and professional practice of Social Work in one-week training session centered on the key words of “Assessment”, “Diagnosis techniques” and “Supervision.
Academic Staff, Social Workers and University Students in Social Work will discuss in a stimulating environment and will share their best practices.
The 4 days training program will start with a common reflection on the e-learning pedagogy, its advantages and the necessary pre-conditions for a successful adoption of digital teaching and learning activities. Through a learning by doing approach, participants will be guided to the use of Learning Management Systems, and to the experimentation of synchronic and non-synchronic communication tools between Lecturers and students and among the academic staff. On Friday, 19th, participants and trainers will attend the 2nd International Conference “Achievements and Challenges of Social Work Profession in Albania”. The conference is the second appointment of a cycle of meetings devoted to an in depth reflection on the professional achievements and challenges for the future developed by University lecturers in Social Work and practitioners in the field.
